A Kundli (also called Janam Kundali or birth chart) is a map of the sky at the exact moment of your birth, showing the positions of the Sun, Moon, and planets across the 12 Rashis (zodiac signs). It is the foundation of Vedic astrology (Jyotish Shastra) and is used for personality analysis, life predictions, and muhurat (auspicious timing) selection.
The Lagna is the zodiac sign rising on the eastern horizon at the time of birth. It changes approximately every two hours, making accurate birth time crucial. The Lagna determines the layout of all 12 houses (Bhavas) in the chart.
We use the VSOP87 planetary theory and Lahiri Ayanamsa to calculate sidereal positions of all nine Vedic planets (Navagraha). No external APIs are used — every position is computed from astronomical first principles for maximum accuracy.
